ACR Climate Impact Awards
The ACR Climate Impact Awards celebrate enduring leadership on climate issues. Presented at an annual event for more than 15 years, the awards recognize trailblazing individuals and organizations. ACR gives awards in four categories: Climate Leadership, Commitment to Quality, Organizational Excellence and Innovation.
The ACR Climate Leadership Award recognizes an individual whose career commitments to action on climate change have made a difference and whose example inspires others to action. Past awardees include:
- John Kerry, Special Presidential Envoy for Climate
- Christiana Figueres, Executive Secretary of the U.N. Framework Convention on Climate Change
- Mary Nichols, Chair of the California Air Resources Board at the time
- Tom Vilsack, U.S. Secretary of Agriculture
- Todd Stern, U.S. Special Envoy for Climate Change
- Paul Hawken, author and founder of Project Drawdown
- Jonathan Pershing, Environment Program Director at the William & Flora Hewlett Foundation
- Frances Seymour, Senior Scientist at the World Resources Institute
