ACR Improved Forest Management Methodologies Tool for Dynamic Evaluation of Baselines

This tool is used by projects adhering to an applicable improved forest management (IFM) Methodology to guide the dynamic evaluation of the baseline each reporting period, before carbon credits are issued, to ensure the underlying assumptions remain valid over time. The initial version of this tool was developed in conjunction with the Methodology for IFM on Non-Federal U.S. Forestlands version 2.1. Please refer to its process documentation to learn more.

Usage of this tool is required for GHG projects validated under IFM methodologies that explicitly refer to it. This tool is optional for GHG projects validated under all other versions of the IFM on Non-Federal U.S. Forestlands methodology and the IFM on Canadian Forestlands methodology.

The tool version 1.1 is applicable for GHG Projects verifying reporting periods with end dates on or after 7/29/2025. GHG projects verifying reporting periods with end dates before 7/29/25 may optionally use v1.1.
